Charter Flights
Some of the most spectacular fishing, hiking and mountaineering is in very
remote areas either not linked by road or the road trips take so long that
they become a much greater expense than air travel. We work with 3 private
air companies who provide charter flights to all of the air strips in the
region and a hydro plane which accesses most of the lakes.
Leaving our Sol de Mayo ranch base at the foot of the northern ice cap
and being in either Balmaceda for international flight connections or in
Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales in the same afternoon, is a possibility
which opens up a lot more territory in a lot less time. We use twin motor
planes for passengers and the most experienced pilots in the region. The
pilots and planes also provide a key, though rarely used resource in our
safety network. |
