Driven Individuals

Like the pioneers who opened up this area, the majority of our clients are special people looking for something unusual, an adventure. They relish the fact the travel here is not always easy, that there will be challenges and that they will be richly rewarded for making the effort to get here and try something few people have done before them. Most of our clients are highly successful people with years of business, personal and family achievments behind them. We understand that, we know that you time and finances are valuable and that your “vacation” experience is important to you. We offer a highly personalised service of planning to accommodate people who have unusual dreams and need the means of turning those dreams into reality. So, whether you are planning a solo crossing of the ice cap, want to join a like-minded group to paddle some tough rivers or complete a long trek or horse ride we can sort you out and guarantee that your time and money is well spent in getting the results you expect.

In 2002 Jon Burroughs, a retired city lawyer from London decided to put his long term dream or riding through Patagonia to the test. We met up with Jon in Futaleufu, helped him buy horses, got him together with Hector Soto, one of our most experienced horse guides, and kitted them out with all their saddlery and gear. After a long month Jon had to retire because of illness which eventually meant returning to London. In January 2004, Jon returned and once more we got him together with new horses and Hector. From Lago Verde, their 2003 finishing point, they set off again and 2 months later arrived in Villa O`Higgins, the end of the road. In total they rode for 60 days, covered 1000km of trail and got through 18 horse shoes.
Jon is a good example of one of those driven individuals who put his dream into action and did something that probably no-one has done before. Now, he is writing a book about his experience in remote Patagonian wilderness.
