Horseback Travel

trekking and rafting or horse riding

All horses used for riding and packing have been raised in the same valleys where we ride them for many generations. This upbringing has solidified them as true mountain horses, deft at crossing rivers, climbing rock, and beating through brush with an incredible stability. These horses have been raised by the same gauchos that guide us and have become accustomed to being ridden by many different people. They have been trained from an early age for expedition travel and the tourist environment. They will be equipped with the traditional gaucho sheepskin covered work saddle that offers stability, comfort and warmth.

Vital to the safety and livelihood of this rich horse based culture and serving the gauchos as their only mode of transport, these horses are not skittish but rather incredibly tame and responsive. Riding becomes a pleasure and a superlative way of travel.
