Safety police & insurance

Patagonia adventure chile

Our accident free history plus our policy and practice of stringent preparation to avoid accidents rather than dealing with them is our best guarantee for your safety and well being.

By definition adventure tourism and travel to remote areas involves an element of risk. Typically that risk manifests itself as an unexpected change in itinerary or route. More seriously and less frequently, personal injury can be the result. A crucial step to travelling safely is to accept that risk and understand that it is a shared responsibility. If you are unwilling to accept the possibility of an accident or change in schedule then you should not participate.

We provide a solid, experienced and well-qualified team of guides and logistical staff who are equipped with satellite phones and the local knowledge required to make your journey as safe as it can be given that we are dealing with big, powerful natural forces and remote areas. We will always put your safety and well-being first and while this sometimes means disappointment it is short lived and easily accepted when the potential danger is understood.

With over 10 years of guiding experience in Patagonia we have not had an accident.

As a company we do not provide insurance as part of our programs. We do however insist that all clients are insured with a comprehensive coverage including evacuation and repatriation.
